The Norwalk Early Childhood Center (NECC) s an innovative
Pre-Kindergarten program for both typical and special needs children.
The NECC program supports the development of each child through exciting academic, cognitive,
emotional, language, physical, and creative activities. The curriculum addresses the strengths, needs,
and interests of each child, both with and without disabilities. The Center encourages growth and
discovery within a sensory-sensitive environment.
Housed in a newly renovated, state-of-the art facility, the Center offers:
5 classrooms (6th classroom opening soon!) , with 2 half-day programs in each
Student/Teacher ratios as defined by Connecticut PreSchool Guidleines
Certified staff that includes certified teachers, schools psychologist, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists
and physical therapists.
A creative arts program featuring music, art , theater and movement
Using age-appropriate content and approaches, our expert staff applies strategies and techniques
that incorporate Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards, and that include:
